Our Fleet

Prime Movers

Our Fleet consists of Volvo, Mack and Kenworth prime movers ranging from smaller metropolitan vehicles to larger line haul (interstate) vehicles.

Like many in the heavy vehicle industry we are taking steps to reduce our effect on the environment - thinking green is the forefront of all of our decision-making. Advances in technology over the years have seen the introduction of Euro 3, 4 and 5 emission engines. At McArdle’s our fleet operates Euro 4 or older, virtually releasing no nitrous oxide into the atmosphere.

Continual upgrading of the fleet, and driver training in fuel efficient driving, are priorities showing positive results in reducing our carbon emissions.

Trailer Combinations

We currently have multiple combinations of setups, including aluminum tippers for grain and fertilizer freight tasks, curtain-sider trailers for general freight and flat top and drop decks for general freight and hay.

Due to accreditation in Mass Management , weights can range from 46 tonne up to 130 tonne depending on combinations and access.

Minimal B Doubles now run with grain, as it is more viable to run road train combinations. Please check with our staff to find out if your freight task can be made more efficient through our mass management accreditation today.

Road Trains | A-B Doubles | Modular B-Triples

These combinations currently operate on specific highways throughout Australia and we are able to offer these services on a regular basis mainly on interstate routes or on request for specific needs. These configurations are ideal when moving large amounts of product over a long distance as they maximise efficiency and reduce the overall freight expense for customers.
